About The Position

The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of events at Rawhide Western Town & Event Center. This role requires a creative, organized, and detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple events simultaneously while ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. The Food & Beverage Manager will work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to deliver seamless and memorable events that align with Rawhide's unique Western theme.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Food Handler's Card
  • Serv Safe Manager Certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Three (3) years of experience in event planning, management or related experience.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for client meetings and events.
  • Valid AZ driver's license, provide a 39-month satisfactory MVR report.
  • Obtain a Tribal operator driving permit at the time of hire.
  • A satisfactory result obtained through a test for illegal drugs.
  • Acknowledge and agree to maintain a drug-free workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their event requirements, objectives, and budgets.
  • Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., catering, entertainment, operations) to ensure all event aspects are covered.
  • Source and manage relationships with external vendors and suppliers.
  • Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of events.
  • Ensure all event activities adhere to established plans and timelines.
  • Address any issues or challenges that arise during events promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout the event planning and execution process.
  • Conduct site visits and walkthroughs with clients to finalize event details.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring all expenses are tracked and within approved limits.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors to maximize cost-efficiency.
  • Prepare post-event financial reports and evaluations.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events and increase attendance.
  • Utilize social media, email marketing, and other channels to engage potential clients and attendees.
  • Develop promotional materials and content that highlight the unique aspects of Rawhide events.
  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of event staff and volunteers.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members and ensure they are well-prepared for their roles.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve team performance.
  • Gather feedback from clients and attendees to identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in event management.
  • Implement new ideas and strategies to enhance the overall event experience at Rawhide.
  • Oversees the supervision of personnel, which includes hiring, work allocation, training, problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance; provides guidance and feedback for assigned staff.
