Food and Beverage Attendant/Part Time
About The Position
The Food and Beverage Attendant acts as short order cook, takes guest orders in a friendly, professional manner. He/she provides counter service, prepares food and beverages, clears tables, cleans kitchen area, washes dishes, manages payments, and other tasks. Key duties include menu knowledge, cleaning service areas, handling POS systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards, cleanliness, hygiene, and safe food handling, while delivering an exceptional customer experience. This is a part-time position working Fridays, Sat, and Sun--approximately 25 hours.
Requirements
- HS Diploma (or equivalent) is required
- Must be at least 18 years old to serve alcohol
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft MS programs: Word, Outlook
- Must have (or obtain within 60 days) Smart Serve or Food Handler Certificate
- Must have strong time management skills and be able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- Prior hospitality, cook, server experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests, and present menus
- Take and serve food and drink (including alcoholic) orders; make suggestions based on client preferences
- Arrange table settings and keep tables clean and tidy at all times
- Provide service with a positive attitude and a smile; strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Standing, walking, bending, and stooping for extended periods; ability to stand/walk for long periods, and lift/carry items up to 50 lbs.
- Experience with POS systems, excellent math skills, and PC proficiency
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
