Position Summary We're looking to add to our brilliant team of Food and Beverage Assistants – the bright, smiley faces that keep Tony's Pizza Events Center moving. You’ll need to wear a few different hats – cashier, host, food service assistant and occasionally server – never a dull moment! The shifts include various hours including nights and weekends but are based upon event schedule necessity. Whether familiar faces or visitors to the site, you’ll bring personality and passion to our venue. This role will pay an hourly rate of $12.00-$14.00 and is tip eligible About the Venue The TONY'S® Pizza Events Center , located in Salina, Kansas is composed of a newly renovated 6,500+ seat multipurpose arena and the Great Plains Manufacturing Convention Hall, an 18,000 square foot convention space. Nicknamed Mid-America's Meeting Place, the Tony's Pizza Events Center provides central Kansas a place to meet, play and experience events that enhance living-in and visiting the City of Salina. The City of Salina is the primary owner of the Tony's Pizza Events Center. OVG360 manages the Tony's Pizza Events Center as well as hundreds other public assembly facilities around the world.

Requirements

  • Ability to work flexible shifts based on events and building needs including days, nights, weekends and some Holidays as
  • Must have a High School Diploma, G.E.D or related Food Service Experience.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented and event-driven environment.
  • The ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, management and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive enthusiastic work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the hospitality and/or restaurants are preferred but not required.
  • We’re open to all backgrounds and levels of experience, but attitude and personality are way more important.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Help the Food and Beverage Department with any related needs to create successful events at the venue.
  • Maintains knowledge of event details and any special requests.
  • Provides quick, attentive, friendly and professional service to all guests and can communicate clearly.
  • Ensures neat presentation of all items.
  • Stocks food and beverage stations when necessary.
  • Maintains a professional and clean appearance.
  • Communicate with other event staff to improve communication and coordination with our guests during the event.
  • Additional duties may be assigned by Director of Food and Beverage.
