About The Position

This position monitors outstanding insurance accounts for payment. Corrects any incorrect billing and patient information to ensure timely payment of accounts. Communicates with patients and insurance carriers, safeguarding the public relations of the hospital by consistent professional conduct.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• 1 to 2 years insurance billing preferred
• Knowledge of general medical terminology
• Skilled at multitask abilities, detail oriented self starter and self managed
• Legible handwriting
• Maintains self with professionalism at all times
• Basic knowledge of computers.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with Meditech system or mainframe system preferred
• Knowledge of office equipment such as telephone, fax machine, medifax copier
