About The Position

The Bobst Poly Joiner Assistant Operator is responsible for helping to set-up the machine, pre-break corrugated sheets and feed sheets into the machine. This person will also do general machine adjustments. Constant lifting of 10 - 40 lbs. while reaching up to 84” high to grab stacks and twist to feed machine will be part of daily activities. Pay Rate: $ 26-29/hr Work Hours: 6PM-6AM 3-2-2-3 Schedule

Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, kneel and bend over for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly if necessary
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed based on business needs
• Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed

• Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
• Ability to read a tape measure/ruler
• Ability to perform computer functions as they pertain to the job

Responsibilities

• Prebreak large, corrugated sheets
• Feed large sheets of corrugated into machine neatly
• Help operator set-up machine for proper fold and proper gluing
• Help operator set-up machine for proper insert of blanks of Poly Joiner section
• Key in glue settings in control boxes
• Watch the monitors for jam-ups and other quality issues
• Operate in-line stock computer
• Monitor hot melts – fill when necessary
• Help maintain a clean work area
• Help repair or assist maintenance in the repair of the machine
• Safety procedures are the responsibility of all employees
• Quality procedures are the responsibility of all employees
• Be flexible to work at other machine centers within the Joining Dept.
• Work necessary overtime when required
