This position, located at Holly Springs Specialty Sheets in Holly Springs, NC, is for a Folder Gluer Assistant Operator on the 1st Shift. The role involves assisting the Operator and other team members in machine setup, feeding raw materials into converting machines, stacking finished products onto conveyor lines, feeding converted materials through bundlers, preparing pads for stacking, performing quality checks, monitoring product quality, and conducting end-of-shift cleanups.

Requirements

  • Must follow all plant rules including wearing of PPE at all times
  • Basic reasoning, mathematical, reading, and maintenance skills
  • Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/16 of an inch
  • Able to use basic hand tools
  • Must be dependable and report to work on-time for start of shift when scheduled and overtime as needed
  • Must be able to read and understand work orders
  • Communicate to team members about non-conformities
  • Communicate to supervisors about health and safety issues
  • Previous Manufacturing experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Corrugated experience preferred, but not required
  • Experience with folder gluers preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Follow all plant health and safety standards including wearing proper PPE
  • Assist Operator and other team members in setting up machine to prepare for running of orders
  • Setup board in feeding section
  • Setting feed sections up
  • Feeding raw material into converting machines
  • Stacking finished product onto conveyor lines
  • Feeding converted materials through bundlers
  • Preparing bottom pads and side pads for stacking
  • Perform all quality checks and alert Operator of any non-conformities
  • Monitor quality of incoming stock and finished product during runs
  • Perform end of shift cleanups
