About The Position

Peraton is seeking an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Redaction Analyst to support their IC customer onsite in McLean, Va. This role involves reviewing and redacting personally identifiable information (PII), confidential data, and classified information from EEO case files, investigative records, Reports of Investigation (ROI), affidavits, and related supporting materials. The analyst must ensure all redactions are accurate, properly justified, and compliant with Executive Order 13526, the Privacy Act of 1974, the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Key responsibilities include conducting line-by-line reviews, citing specific exemption authority, preparing files for release, organizing and maintaining EEO case files, developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for redaction activities, and providing inputs to compliance reports. The position also emphasizes safeguarding individual privacy consistent with the Privacy Act and OEEO policy. Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree and 3 years, or 9+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing and redacting sensitive information from U.S. Government reports or records.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro or comparable redaction software.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to articulate and document redaction justifications on a line-by-line basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with EEO case processing, EEO reports, or investigative file review.
  • Familiarity with FOIA, Privacy Act, and classification review workflows.
  • Paralegal training or records/information management background.
  • Experience supporting IC or DoD customers in a redaction or disclosure review role.

Responsibilities

  • Review and redact personally identifiable information (PII), confidential data, and classified information from EEO case files, investigative records, Reports of Investigation (ROI), affidavits, and related supporting materials in accordance with Executive Order 13526, the Privacy Act of 1974, the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
  • Conduct line-by-line review of documents and cite specific exemption authority and justification for each redaction.
  • Prepare files for release to approved parties by ensuring all redactions are accurate, properly justified, and compliant with policy.
  • Organize, track, and maintain EEO case files requiring redaction within the IC customer Office of Equal Employment Opportunity (OEEO).
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all OEEO redaction activities.
  • Provide inputs to compliance reports and metrics as directed by the Government.
  • Safeguard individual privacy by ensuring information about an individual is not accessed or disclosed without that individual's knowledge and consent, consistent with the Privacy Act and OEEO policy.
