The expected salary range for this position is $75,000 to $105,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience, relevant expertise, education, and geographical location. As this position requires U.S. Citizenship, we are unable to provide sponsorship for employment. Our client seeks qualified personnel to augment its staff in managing the intake, processing, and reviewing FOIA requests across the enterprise. Roles and Responsibilities The FOIA Analyst performs mid-level FOIA processing with minimal supervision. The Analyst provides technical accuracy, consistency, and support to junior staff while contributing to efficient workflow management and quality FOIA production.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in relevant fields.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of FOIA request processing within the last 36 months.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of FOIA exemptions, request types, timelines, and fee categories.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret FOIA requests and determine tasking and search requirements.
  • Skilled in conducting or validating searches for responsive records.
  • Proficient in applying redaction software accurately and documenting exemption decisions.
  • Possess high-level oral and written communication skills; effectively communicate with all levels of client management, contractor managers, and client agency representatives; adept in drafting responses and summaries.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
