About The Position

As a Front of House #2 Assistant at Sessions West Coast Deli, you’re stepping into a key support role designed to bridge daily execution with future leadership. This position is ideal for someone with 6+ months of restaurant and customer service experience who’s looking to grow into a management track through hands-on mentorship. You’ll work closely under the FOH Leader, learning core responsibilities like staff scheduling, product ordering, and inventory control , while still actively supporting frontline service. It’s a great opportunity for someone who wants to lead by example, stay close to the action, and develop the operational knowledge to level up.

Requirements

  • 6+ months of customer service and restaurant experience (required)
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • The ability to lift 50lbs or more.
  • Strong management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience recommended but not required
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and solution-focused
  • A minimum of 6 months experience as a FOH Manager in a hospitality or retail environment. Previous restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support FOH Leader with shift operations, guest service, and team coordination
  • Deliver consistent, friendly, and fast counter service during rush and slower periods
  • Monitor and restock FOH supplies, prep beverages, and maintain station cleanliness
  • Assist in onboarding and mentoring new hires under FOH Leader guidance
  • Help manage third-party delivery orders and service flow accuracy
  • Shadow responsibilities like schedule building, inventory logging, and order placement
  • Uphold FOH standards and redirect team when needed with professionalism
  • Log shift notes, communicate key updates, and escalate guest issues as needed
