About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Focus Factory Manager to lead in our Mt. Hope Ohio plant. This position reports directly to the Plant Leader. The Focus Factory Manager will play a critical role in driving operational excellence and ensuring the achievement of high levels of performance across all aspects of the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, skilled in motivating, challenging, and stretching employee resources to achieve optimal productivity, quality, and safety standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in a technical, supply chain-related field is required.
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in a similar high-volume production environment; 5+ years of supervision/leadership experience.
• Proven experience managing hourly employees and leading a team of supervisors.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
• Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma processes, and standard work practices.
• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement, improve operational efficiency, and enhance product quality.
• Financial acumen with experience managing department budgets, controlling costs, and achieving performance metrics.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of motivating, challenging, and developing employees to achieve high performance.
• Ability to manage change effectively, particularly in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage front-line supervisors and hourly employees indirectly.
• Foster a positive and high-performance work environment by motivating employees and driving continuous improvement.
• Set clear expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and ensure all team members are aligned with company goals.
• Oversee production planning and scheduling to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing operations.
• Conduct high level diagnosis of equipment to collaborate with Maintenance troubleshooting resources.
• Develop and implement strategies to meet production targets while maintaining high levels of quality and safety.
• Utilize lean manufacturing tools, standard work practices, and Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvement.
• Ensure consistent product quality in alignment with established quality standards and customer specifications.
• Maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and regulations to minimize accidents and incidents.
• Identify and resolve issues related to product defects, quality issues, or inefficiencies in the manufacturing process.
• Monitor and manage department budgets, cost structures, and performance metrics.
• Analyze production data and financial reports to identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
• Drive accountability for performance and results across all levels of the production team.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including logistics, supply chain, and engineering, to ensure smooth plant operations and alignment on production schedules.
• Communicate effectively with the plant leadership team to report on key metrics, challenges, and improvements.
