About The Position
The position involves leading all efforts related to focal plane array (FPA) development post epi growth. The candidate will be responsible for frontend processes such as detector array fabrication and indium bump application, ROIC processing, hybridization, and backend processing including shimming, polishing, and AR coating. The ideal candidate will lead a team capable of executing in an efficient high-mix production environment, evaluate current processes, determine best practices, set process configurations, and continuously seek improvements. This role requires providing cost, schedule, and risk inputs for all FPA build activities while maintaining execution activities within scope. The successful candidate will manage FPA builds through the relevant queues and cycles of the process and develop and maintain the necessary infrastructure, including people, training, and equipment, while interacting with a cross-disciplinary team to ensure solutions are integrated, operational, certified, and well maintained.
