About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Foam Line Operator 1st Shift to join our team located in Statesville, NC. This position involves operating and setting up machines, weighing, measuring, and mixing raw material components for processing, and performing quality checks. The role requires following safety procedures and guidelines, and notifying supervisors of any safety issues. The work environment is a climate-controlled facility with moderate noise levels, and personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent a plus
• Prior manufacturing experience a plus
• Computer literate
• Able to walk and stand for up to 8 - 12 hours
• Lift 50 lbs. using proper technique
• Can communicate effectively
• Read and understand written instructions
• Able to perform basic math
• Can work with a team or independently
• Eager to learn with a can-do attitude

Responsibilities

• Machine operation and setup
• Weighing, measuring, and mixing of raw material components for processing
• Frequent pressure, temperature, and various other meter readings, recordings and adjustments
• Palletizing finished goods
• Quality checks
• Following all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines; and notifying supervisor/team lead of any existing or potential safety issues
• Responsible for attending work on time and for scheduled hours each day
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
