About The Position

As a Food Service Worker II you will perform a wide range of duties involved with preparing and serving foods and beverages in one or more of a variety of food service operations. You will prepare food, serve food, and may serve as cashier. Your responsibilities will include demonstrating proper cash handling procedures, ensuring the cafeteria area is stocked, maintaining attractive product appearance, following HACCP guidelines, and providing optimum service to patients and caregivers. You will also perform routine diet nourishment functions, prepare grill and fried items, and assist in various areas of the department as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Some Food Service experience is desirable.
• Food Handlers permit or must obtain during the first two weeks of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proper cash handling procedures including cash register operations.
• Ensure that cafeteria area is stocked with paper goods and inventory items.
• Maintain attractive product appearance served in sanitary conditions.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for the holding, serving, and storing of food.
• Prepare food and serve food in a timely manner.
• Perform routine diet nourishment functions including tube feed mixing and preparing formulas.
• Prepare all grill and fried items in a sanitary/timely manner based on menu.
• Greet and assist all customers/physicians with their food needs/selections.
