About The Position

Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, assists in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources office, including the administration of the Human Resources policies and procedures. This position handles employee relations, recognition programs, and employment verification. Responsibilities include maintaining and securing employee data related to attendance, performance evaluations, and terminations, employee status change updates, and communicating with Payroll for wage payments. The role also involves handling special projects, ensuring confidentiality, facilitating employee communication on staying updated on regulations, administering employee grievances, and consulting on employee issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resource Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional guest service to external and internal guests by maintaining and exhibiting the We-Ko-Pa Way: Smile and Greet, Name and Meet, Thank you, and Goodbye.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation Enterprises, including employee relations, employee recognition program, and assisting with employment verification.
  • Responsible for the proper entry, storage, security, and use of employee personal data pertaining to attendance, job performance evaluations, and termination information
  • Communicates and assists Payroll in providing data for wage payment.
  • Responsible for retrieving personnel information and aiding in reporting to proper management when requested.
  • Completes special projects by clarifying project objectives, setting timetables and schedules, conducting research, and developing and organizing information.
  • Protects the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Aids in company employee communication regarding safety, wellness, and health services, and counseling.
  • Stays current on all regulations concerning employee records.
  • Administers employee grievances, including convening the grievance committee.
  • Acts in a consulting capacity to managers on employee issues.
  • Consult with managers and supervisors to properly treat employees during disciplinary proceedings.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Must lift more than 50 pounds and push or pull 100.
  • Must obtain and maintain State/Tribal License (including extensive background check).
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be 21 or older.
  • Sit for 67-100% of the workday.
  • Computer use and hand and eye coordination 67-100% of the workday.
  • Stand, walk, and climb stairs for 1-33% of the workday.
