About The Position

The FMO Supervisor is responsible for safe and efficient car inspection and repair at an FMO location. This role includes ensuring the safe performance of duties by employees, instructing and training them in proper inspection and repair of railcars, fostering positive employee relations, maintaining efficient operations, controlling expenses, and serving as a liaison to host railroad, AAR, and FRA. The position also includes supervision responsibilities for employees represented by a labor organization.

Requirements

• Associate's degree (AA) desirable.
• One to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assure the safe performance of duties by their employees in accordance with Safety Policies.
• Instruct and train employees in the proper inspection and repair of railcars in compliance with current Company and Industry standards.
• Foster positive employee relations, and ensure conformance to Human Resource Policy and Procedures.
• Maintain efficient and productive operation in accordance with Company goals.
• Control expenses related to the location's operations and distribution of labor.
• Serve as local liaison to host railroad, AAR and FRA.
