About The Position

We are seeking an enthusiastic and diligent intern to join our cybersecurity team. This position is designed to complement our co-op roles, providing hands-on experience in both Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) cybersecurity. The successful candidate will gain exposure to cyber mitigation strategies, threat intelligence, breach and attack simulations, and ethical hacking. This role offers a valuable opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical environment, contributing to our dynamic and innovative cybersecurity team.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Cybersecurity Analytics and Operations, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT) concepts.
  • Understanding of cyber-attack methodologies and mitigation techniques.
  • Knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with penetration testing or ethical hacking.
  • Knowledge of network security principles and technologies.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V, VMware, or VirtualBox.
  • Understanding of threat intelligence concepts and tools.
  • Experience with tools such as Elastic Stack, Snort, Hydra, Nmap, and Wireshark Packet Captures.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze cyber threat intelligence from diverse sources, focusing on Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).
  • Develop actionable threat intelligence to enhance the organization's cybersecurity posture.
  • Apply ethical hacking techniques to identify vulnerabilities in computer systems, networks, and ICS assets.
  • Collaborate with security teams to prioritize vulnerabilities based on potential impact and exploitability.
  • Leverage threat intelligence feeds and research capabilities to stay informed about emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Analyze threat intelligence data to identify relevant threats to our OT environment and propose proactive security measures.
