About The Position
The Fly Fishing Guide at Blackberry Farms is a seasonal position focused on enhancing the fly fishing program through exceptional guest interaction and providing a 5-star service experience. The guide will be responsible for leading fly fishing trips, assisting guests in selecting locations, navigating unfamiliar waters, and choosing appropriate fly patterns. The role also involves instructing guests on casting techniques, knot tying, and ensuring safety procedures are followed for both guests and fish. The guide will maintain the fly fishing areas, ensuring they are clean and functional, and will also assist guests with their fly fishing knowledge, answering questions and providing information about equipment and supplies available in the Gift Shop. In addition to guiding and instructing, the Fly Fishing Guide will be expected to maintain a high level of guest relations, ensuring that all guests feel welcomed and informed. Regular attendance is crucial, and the guide must work well with team members and managers while being flexible to work nights and weekends. The position requires a strong commitment to the company’s policies and procedures, as well as a passion for fly fishing and guest service.
