This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin’s Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. As part of a hardworking team of specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will help design the next generation of valves for use on our Lunar program. Your scope will encompass the complete life cycle of the system from definition, interfaces, conceptual design, detailed design, component development, assembly, verification, and operation. You will own your components from initial design to analyzing data from their landing on the moon! You will design and perform 1st order analyses to verify your designs. You will build Lunar vehicles in CAD by modeling valves, propulsion elements, sensors, piping, and other equipment in the flight vehicle. You will size, select material, and analyze flow and structural integrity under pressure, vibration, temperature and mechanical loads. You will work with suppliers and other support organizations to procure, fabricate, and install flight hardware. You may mentor entry level engineers and perform technical peer reviews.
