At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin’s Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. This Fluids Systems Test Engineer will work within the Vehicle Test team, supporting our mission to return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth. You will share in the team’s impact of developing tests plans and procedures for vehicle operations and tests. Your role includes the complete life cycle of the system from design to operation. You will develop these tests while ensuring personnel safety during hazardous tests, meeting or exceeding schedule deliverables, managing vehicle test risks, and collaborate with internal and external suppliers to ensure our test approach meets requirements and risk posture of the program. During test execution, this role would act as lead test engineer for a given test with overall responsibility for safety of the test, the crew and the vehicle. Our Lunar Permanence team is developing our lunar landers to demonstrate core capabilities – including the BE-7 landing engine, precision landing sensors, and advanced integrated power and propulsion architecture. Passion for our mission and vision is required!
