About The Position

Vallen’s Fluids Technicians are responsible for checking, measuring, and adding various forms of metalworking fluids (e.g., water, coolant, lubricant, etc.) used to reduce heat and friction and/or remove metal particles to ensure proper maintenance and operation of machinery.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; directly applicable experience may be substituted.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Accurately read and understand measurement devices.

Responsibilities

• Check fluid reservoir levels and measure fluid concentrations in machinery and/or sumps.
• Add fluids in the correct ratios to sump and/or machinery as required (e.g., product coolant, water, lubricant, etc.).
• Record data for each sump and/or machinery.
• Support change-out of metalworking fluid systems under customer direction.
• Clean sump screens.
• Change filters.
• Monitor fluid inventory levels and report when inventory is low.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
