We have an exciting opportunity for a Fluids Engineering Analyst for Chemical Processes / Environmental Control Systems to join our JETS II contract team at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. If selected you will: Perform Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) calculations relating to life support and thermal fluids in complex geometries. Simulate and evaluate performance of life support systems for future NASA vehicles and habitats. Correlate water and air process simulation models to test results. Model physical and chemical processes and size equipment performing life support functions for long duration space flights using CFD. Evaluate and refine requirements for chemical process equipment that will support future missions. Perform other similar tasks assigned. Qualifications: This position has been posted at multiple levels. Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2- 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Requires a minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or in a closely related area. Proficient with one of more of the following CFD software tools: Ansys Fluent, Star CCM+, or equivalent CFD software. Excellent technical writing skills including the ability to use data to draw conclusions with supporting rationale and make recommendations. Must be able support the conclusions when challenged. Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
