About The Position

The Fluid Power Specialist at Applied Industrial Technologies plays a crucial role in providing technical solutions related to hydraulic and pneumatic fluid power systems. This position involves collaborating with Account Managers to engage with customers, develop business opportunities, and enhance customer performance through expert knowledge and training. The role requires building relationships with both internal teams and external customers across the New England States, directly impacting business results.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hydraulic and/or pneumatic experience in Industrial, Mobile, or similar environments.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Technical Diploma or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn; IFPS Certification preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and system schematics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with MS Office and remote collaboration tools.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute an engagement plan with local US Service Center sales teams to identify and engage high potential accounts.
  • Act as the local technical fluid power expert in the assigned region, facilitating interactions with internal sales teams and customers.
  • Prepare and present fluid power solutions to customers and internal associates, reviewing installed solutions and customer documents.
  • Conduct fluid power training for internal associates and customers to enhance knowledge and demonstrate expertise.
  • Develop professional relationships with key supplier resources to specify products and systems that enhance customer performance.
  • Coordinate projects with US Service Center personnel.
  • Assist in developing the Fluid Power collaborative knowledge base, including applications and market activities.
