Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering with a strong focus on mechanical systems
  • 5–7 years of engineering experience in mechanical design and systems integration
  • Hands-on experience with fluid system architecture, including schematics, analytical models, and troubleshooting
  • Background in supporting prototype or production builds
  • Proficiency in NX and/or Creo for solid modeling; Teamcenter and Vis Mockup experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action
  • Understanding of welding, materials, and fabrication techniques
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% to military sites or manufacturing facilities
  • Eligible for a U.S. security clearance (non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible)
  • Ability to work on and around military vehicles, including climbing on/off as needed
  • Willingness to support weekend, evening, or overtime work when required

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working on or around ground combat vehicles preferred
  • Proficiency in NX and/or Creo for solid modeling; Teamcenter and Vis Mockup experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Engineer fluid and distributed systems, including fuel, hydraulic, pneumatics, fire suppression, camera cleaning, and LRU cooling systems, to meet customer and vehicle specifications
  • Design and integrate components into vehicle platforms, ensuring compliance with human factors, safety, environmental, ballistic, and mine blast requirements
  • Conduct analysis and integration of mechanical components, mechanisms, and shock attenuation systems for mounted equipment
  • Apply engineering principles related to materials, welding, fabrication, and mechanics of materials to develop brackets and mounting provisions
  • Support engineering tasks such as tolerance stack-ups, markups, and source data for design changes and documentation
  • Generate material requests, manage shop work requests, and track part inventory and delivery status
  • Participate in integration reviews, fit checks, and develop technical reports
  • Provide ongoing support to prototype, production, and sustainment vehicle efforts, including corrective action and redesign activities
  • Present design concepts and technical risk assessments to program and functional leadership
  • Direct and oversee CAD modeling and drawing development
  • Conduct failure analysis, troubleshooting, and implement corrective action
  • Translate customer needs into subsystem/component requirements, ensuring alignment with contract deliverables
  • Occasionally lead or support technical presentations to internal stakeholders and customers
  • Collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines and teams
