About The Position

The Security Systems Specialist is responsible for the support of all physical security systems including access control, CCTV operations, and dedicated alarm systems on a global wide spectrum. This position will also serve as the point of contact for training users to operate the access control, CCTV, and alarm systems.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, associate's degree a plus.
  • Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) or Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification a plus.
  • Past administrative experience or tenure in an office setting a plus.
  • Digital literacy and research skills, including the ability to analyze the reliability of information.
  • Familiarity with standard office platforms, such as Microsoft Office.
  • Data management and entry skills, including the ability to maintain and improve filing systems.
  • Accurate record keeping.
  • Written communication skills.
  • Time management, multitasking, and flexibility.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal skills, professional and courteous demeanor.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient office operations.
  • Maintain physical and digital filing systems.
  • Answer phone calls and direct callers to appropriate personnel.
  • Schedule meetings and sign for incoming packages.
  • Assist clients and other FLS team members.
  • Respond to emails and other digital queries and correspondence.
  • Manage calendars for Fire Life Safety team.
  • Draft and edit emails, reports, and other documents.
  • Input and update information in databases and spreadsheets.
  • Prepare meeting agendas and take meeting minutes.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, including room setup and catering.
  • Use word processing and presentation software to create and edit documents.
  • Operate and maintain office equipment, including printers, copiers, and fax machines.
  • Work with maintenance staff and outside vendors to ensure office equipment is in good working order.
  • Research as requested and compile and summarize information for reports or presentations.
  • Work closely with other administrative staff and support other colleagues as needed.
  • Work with sensitive information with discretion to maintain confidentiality and security.
  • Ensure that deadlines are met and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Present a positive and professional image for the organization.
