About The Position

Join BayCare as a Flow Cytometry Technologist at the Outreach Lab Waters in Tampa, FL. This position is part of the BayCare Health System's Flow Cytometry Laboratory, where you will perform high-complexity testing including Lymphocyte Enumeration, Immunophenotyping of Leukemia and Lymphoma, and DNA Ploidy and S-phase analysis. You will be responsible for all technical components within the Flow Cytometry Laboratory, including wet lab processing, specimen acquisition, and data analysis of blood, bone marrow, tissue, fine needle aspirates, and body fluids. The role requires collaboration with pathologists and fellow technologists to ensure efficient and consistent laboratory operations, support evaluation of new instruments and procedures, and perform quality control and preventive maintenance on all instrumentation.

Requirements

• State of Florida - Clinical Laboratory Technologist (Immunology & Serology) certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory experience.
• At least 1 year of molecular testing experience required.
• Associate's Degree in Medical Technology or related field required.

Nice To Haves

• ASCP Certification preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and analyze high-complexity flow cytometry testing.
• Manage specimen processing and acquisition for multiple sample types.
• Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to ensure accurate results.
• Assist in validating and implementing new equipment and procedures.
• Conduct quality control, calibration, and preventive maintenance on lab instruments.
