Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
  • 1 or more years clinical laboratory testing experience
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems
  • High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
  • Able to travel onsite for onboarding and training
  • Able to attend required onsite meetings: Local analysts are required to attend 4 meetings per year Analysts who are not local are required to attend 2 meetings per year with travel expenses approved
  • Private, HIPAA‑compliant workspace
  • Agree to include home address in case reporting (CMS requirement)
  • Internet 100 Mbps minimum
  • Ability to work remotely in a fast‑paced, multi‑site environment

Nice To Haves

  • 1 or more years experience in Flow Cytometry in a clinical lab
  • MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), CLS(NCA) or SCYM(ASCP) certification

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine high complexity analyses and interpretations of flow cytometry dot plots in the testing of leukemia and lymphoma specimens
  • Analyzes data that comes from the lab
  • Properly performs and documents quality assurance, quality control
  • Properly prioritizes cases according to policy
  • Adheres to all safety, quality control and documentation policies
  • Recognizes problems that may adversely affect patient care and takes appropriate action
  • Participates in required Continuing Education activities
  • Serves as an example and resource to other testing laboratory personnel
  • Assists in training of personnel
  • Shows willingness to perform duties until they are complete
  • Additional duties as assigned
