About The Position
The position involves providing customer service assistance to customers and managing incoming calls. The role requires comparing identifying information and counting, weighing, or measuring items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. The employee will set daily delivery appointments, process incoming deliveries, and process completed loads. Additionally, the employee will resolve any issues with shipping and/or receiving with internal staff, file paperwork daily, and follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices, reporting noncompliance when observed. Observing all company safety rules and assisting in enforcement as appropriate is also a key responsibility. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
