About The Position

The Floral Ops Specialist at Albertsons Companies is responsible for monitoring, enforcing, and supporting the execution of the division merchandising plan for floral departments in assigned stores. This role involves traveling to various locations to collaborate with department managers and staff, ensuring compliance with merchandising strategies, and enhancing customer service. The specialist will also develop training programs, oversee departmental performance metrics, and provide input on merchandising strategies to the Division Sales Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in merchandising and retail sales.
  • Experience as a Department Manager or Store Director is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Marketing orientation with good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Math skills for straightforward analysis.
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate others without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to assigned stores to share merchandising plans with department managers and staff.
  • Counsel department managers and store directors on product merchandising and customer service.
  • Evaluate overall department presentation, cleanliness, and compliance with company policies during store visits.
  • Collaborate with district managers and operations specialists to explain merchandising and marketing plans.
  • Develop and maintain training programs for associates in respective departments.
  • Participate in departmental and divisional sales meetings.
  • Oversee shrink, freshness, food safety, sanitation, departmental sales, labor, and gross profit reporting from assigned stores.
  • Implement new merchandising programs and ensure proper training for department staff.
  • Monitor competitor activities.
  • Assist in opening new and remodeled stores.
  • Provide merchandising input back to the Division Sales Manager.

Benefits

  • Full-time position with competitive salary range of $69K - $87.4K per year.
