About The Position

The Floral Operations Lead contributes to The Bouqs’ mission of revolutionizing the way we commemorate life’s moments by coordinating and directing the successful, efficient, and profitable operation of the store in order to achieve The Bouqs Retail business objectives. This Lead will manage the store team and provide thoughtful leadership, while working to drive sales and achieve revenue goals. They will also act as a leader on behalf of the store in all HQ communications and functions that impact the space.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in a retail or floral setting with at least 1 year within a leadership role
  • Flexible availability, able to work 40 hours per week including early mornings and evenings
  • Able to work during the Vacation Blackout Policy dates, including all the weeks leading up to and including Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day
  • Strong written and verbal communication and leadership skills
  • Knowledgeable with retail systems
  • Able to engage and motivate teams, and to work collaboratively with colleagues
  • Experience in managing multiple strategic and operational business functions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Able to lift up to lift/move 30 lbs. and to climb a ladder up to 8 ft.
  • Willing to work with live floral product

Responsibilities

  • Manage all operational aspects of the store, including sales, clienteling, cashiering, visual standards, and inventory operations
  • Oversee the retail team, leading the interviewing, onboarding, and training processes for new hires, as well manage the store’s succession planning and identify, recognize, and develop employees to build a strong team.
  • Showcase in-depth knowledge and understanding of the brand, its history, product offerings, and cross-channel promotions
  • Drive plans to exceed daily, weekly, monthly, and annual sales targets and key performance indicator (KPI) goals
  • Communicate goals and strategies to all team members, ensuring their accountability in meeting productivity expectations
  • Elevate the customer service experience within the store, promptly addressing all customer grievances in alignment with company policies
  • Ensure the timely execution of all merchandising and visual initiatives, providing feedback to the Corporate Retail Team regarding the store’s merchandising needs based on trends and market analysis
  • Maintain inventory and oversee the timely completion of all inventory-related tasks, procedures, and operations, making sure all operational tools and requirements necessary for the store’s daily opening and closing are available and performed accurately
  • Drive and lead execution of in-store, wedding, classes and local business sales by promoting Bouqs floral designs and custom arrangements to meet customer preferences
  • Ensure the store’s arrangements adhere to Bouqs’ high-quality standards
  • Act as a liaison representing The Bouqs within the community, fostering positive relationships with partners and customers
