About The Position

This Team Lead will guide and support our Delivery and Merchandising team members through daily priorities and execution. You’ll provide hands-on coaching, help remove obstacles, and keep the team aligned, productive, and customer-focused. This role sets the tone for clear communication, accountability, and collaboration while creating a positive, inclusive work environment where team members can do their best work. Must be able to pass Federal DOT Drug exam and obtain a DOT medical card What you’ll do: As the VMI Team Lead , you’ll lead the team through daily plans and execution, including completing routes, caring for product in customer stores, assisting with truck loading, and stepping in to support order fulfillment as needed. You’ll reinforce strong safety and cleanliness standards and serve as the primary fill-in merchandiser for open routes, helping ensure consistent, reliable service for our customers. Key responsibilities include: Lead the team in the execution of tasks: safe operation of VMI delivery vehicles, in-store merchandising, product care, and quality. Complete daily merchandising routes to quality and merchandising standards; fill in on open routes when necessary. Manage actual staffing vs. scheduled staffing, ensuring timely communication and alignment to daily work demands. Execute the daily labor plan and make adjustments as needed to ensure on-time delivery. Support product picking, packing, staging, and truck loading for VMI routes. Execute onboarding and training plans with mentors to align new hires with leadership expectations and merchandising standards. Ensure essential supplies and tools are stocked and available to the team. Build strong partnerships with LBR store contacts, Sales, Product Management, and cross-functional departments by communicating key issues professionally and promptly. Promote a strong safety culture through team stretching, training on relevant safety subjects, safe backing certifications, and immediate response to safety risks. Participate in continuous improvement and standard work audits to drive performance into targets and improve processes. Pay: $21.00-$23.00/hr. When you'll work: Sunday-Thursday, 6:00am- 4:00pm/end of shift Holidays & Overtime: Ability to work holidays and overtime as business needs. Please be aware that during peak times, particularly around holidays like Valentine's Day, Easter, and Mother's Day, you may be required to work overtime and on days that are typically your time off. These busy periods may demand flexibility in your schedule.
