Requirements
- One-year certificate from college or technical preferred; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities
- Train and coach employee procedures and tasks for the department. Under the direction of the Floral Manager is responsible for in-service training for all employees and documents all training.
- Coordinates activities of workers engaged in ordering, processing, and selling of products.
- Assures proper displaying and selling of department products to customers and advises customers on the quality of flowers, methods of handling flowers and plants, and other factors affecting this perishable product.
- Maintains high-profit margin by the approved pre-set budget and pricing schedule, which entails, but is not limited to: sales goals, cost of goods, expenses, price changes, and waste management.
- Manages and assures proper displaying and selling of flowers, plants, and accessories by company merchandising standards.
- Trains and encourages all employees on floral design and customer relationship skills.
