About The Position

1-800-Flowers.com, Inc. is looking for a Floral Designer for their Philadelphia MDC. with 3–5 years of experience as a floral designer in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment. They should possess foundational knowledge of floral handling and processing and be able to identify a wide variety of flowers by name to accurately execute design recipes. A creative mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members to meet deadlines are essential.

Requirements

Candidate must be agile and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Must be capable of lifting up to 40 lbs.
Must be able to stand for extended periods.
Must be comfortable working in extreme indoor temperatures, including cold and hot environments.
Closed-toe footwear is required at all times.
Must be willing to assist in other departments as needed.
High School diploma or equivalent
3-5 years of floral designer experience.
Design experience is a must.
Ability to follow and provide clear directions.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong mathematical skills to support design accuracy and inventory management.
Knowledge of design principles and techniques, as well as current trends in floral design.
Ability to work extra hours and weekends as necessary.
Ability to lift up to 25lbs, stand for long periods, and traverse stairs throughout the day and work in an overall physically demanding manner.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual communication skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist with the care and maintenance of plants and dish gardens.
