About The Position

Food City is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team, ensuring efficient and courteous customer service at all times in support of our mission to "Run the Best Store in Town!" The ideal candidate will maintain a positive attitude and create an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork. Responsibilities include greeting and speaking to customers, providing prompt and efficient service, assisting in making floral arrangements, processing flowers, inspecting and rotating merchandise, unloading floral trucks, stocking coolers, maintaining correct pricing, taking telephone orders, assisting with ordering and inventory, and keeping the workstation neat and clean. Attendance during scheduled shifts is crucial to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions
• Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks
• Ability to have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and courteous customer service at all times
• Maintain a positive attitude and create an atmosphere of friendliness and fun
• Generate a positive working environment with a customer first initiative
• Assist in making floral arrangements
• Process flowers and water plants
• Inspect and rotate merchandise daily
• Unload floral trucks and check in merchandise
• Stock coolers
• Maintain correct pricing of merchandise
• Take telephone orders from customers
• Assist with ordering merchandise and inventory
• Keep workstation and area around workstation neat and clean
• Attend on-site work during scheduled shifts
