About The Position

Dr. Delphinium, Dallas’ premier florist, is seeking an experienced and service-driven Delivery Manager to lead and develop a high-performing team of delivery drivers. Requirements

  • Minimum two years of leadership experience, preferred
  • Excellent communication and leadership presence
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record meeting insurance requirements
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly developed organizational and prioritization abilities
  • Energetic, flexible, and self-motivated
  • Calm and tactful when handling difficult or time-sensitive situations
  • Strong customer service skills; friendly, professional, and solution-focused
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
  • Comfortable working independently and supporting a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible schedule with availability to work weekends and holidays
  • Tobacco-free workplace; adherence to company policy required during working hours
  • Must pass a drug test and background check

Responsibilities

  • Manage and provide direction to a team of approximately 15 delivery drivers
  • Coach, lead, and develop drivers to improve performance, accountability, and service execution measured by our Delivery Quality Assurance Program
  • Conduct regular team meetings and safety trainings to reinforce policies and preventive measures
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and insurance requirements
  • Conduct annual performance reviews
  • Ensure daily delivery time windows are met and service standards are consistently achieved
  • Answer internal customer calls regarding deliveries and provide great customer service
  • Work proactively with the Sales and Production to understand the needs of internal and external customers
  • Maintain a focus on process improvement to enhance delivery productivity and efficiency
  • Manage communication and systems with third-party delivery companies to meet client needs and expectations
  • Perform delivery functions to training and cover shifts as necessary
