About The Position

As a Floor Coverings International In-Home Sales/Design Associate, you can help people reimagine and transform their home with the latest flooring trends from the top manufacturers. You will go out on both company and self-generated leads to meet with homeowners and assess their flooring needs and wants. Once the goals of the project are understood, you will recommend and sell the flooring solution that best fits their needs and their budget.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of in-home sales experience
  • Ideal candidates have a track record selling $1 million annually
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 25+ lbs and walk up flights of stairs to customers' homes
  • Ability to work some weeknights and weekends
  • Computer skills and ability to learn our tablet estimating software

Responsibilities

  • Go out to clients' homes to provide in-home consultations and quotes for their flooring project
  • Use a consultative sales approach (No high pressure sales) - measure accurately, show flooring samples in the home, and help customers reach a solution to meet their goals and budget
  • Use our tablet estimating software and keep accurate records in Salesforce regarding follow-up communication
  • Hand off job details to install manager to help jobs go smoothly and conduct post-installation walkthroughs
  • Maintain customer relationships and develop key referral sources to generate ongoing business
  • Develop business partner relationships for ongoing business
  • Generate leads through networking and prospecting to supplement company-provided leads
