Flooring Apprentice

About the position

The Union Flooring division of a local company is seeking a Flooring Apprentice. Candidates will be responsible for installing carpet, carpet tile, VCT, vinyl plank and base and sheet vinyl. Candidates will also have to be able to level floors with a cement based leveling compound. Candidates must have knowledge of the tools of the trade and have their own hand tools. Candidates must also have mathematical applications and be able to lift 100 pounds repetitiously. Must also be able to pass a 10 panel drug screen and a criminal history background check.

Responsibilities

• Installing carpet, carpet tile, VCT, vinyl plank, and base and sheet vinyl.
• Leveling floors with a cement-based leveling compound.
• Using hand tools associated with flooring installation.

Requirements

• Knowledge of the tools of the trade.
• Own hand tools required for flooring installation.
• Mathematical applications skills.
• Ability to lift 100 pounds repetitively.
• Ability to pass a 10 panel drug screen.
• Ability to pass a criminal history background check.
