About The Position

Do you take pride in creating spotless, professional-looking floors? Clean Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Part-Time Floor Technician to join our night shift crew in Grand Rapids, MI. In this role, you'll perform specialized floor care projects and support our commercial cleaning operations as needed. From hard floor scrubbing, sealing, and refinishing to carpet cleaning, extraction, and stain treatment, your work will help maintain the clean, safe, and polished appearance that Clean Team is known for. You'll also occasionally assist as a Support Technician, providing coverage for team members, helping with training new associates, or supporting supply deliveries when necessary. Every shift brings new challenges and the satisfaction of seeing your work shine-literally! As a Part-Time Floor Technician, you'll handle a variety of special projects while contributing to daily operations.

Requirements

  • Previous floor care experience required (stripping, refinishing, carpet cleaning, etc.)
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of car insurance
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Physical ability for heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and transporting floor equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • A problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently
  • Willingness to work evening/night shifts and occasional weekend projects

Responsibilities

  • Performing hard floor cleaning, scrubbing, stripping, sealing, and refinishing
  • Conducting carpet cleaning, including stain removal, extraction, and deodorizing
  • Operating and maintaining floor care equipment (auto scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, extractors, etc.)
  • Assisting with training new team members on proper cleaning and equipment use
  • Helping with supply deliveries, organization, and support tasks as needed
  • Identifying flooring areas that need special attention or repair
  • Following safety procedures and proper chemical-handling guidelines
  • Communicating effectively with supervisors, teammates, and clients
