We are currently seeking an experienced Floor Technician to join our Health Center team. If you’re looking for a different perspective on healthcare and senior living come join us today! Summary: Under general direction from the Environmental Services Director, the Floor Tech cleans and polishes all tile floors and vacuums all carpeted floors throughout the facility as determined by daily task sheet and special assignments from the supervisor or director of the department.

Requirements

  • Must have effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Must maintain resident confidentiality at all times.
  • Must have an understanding of general cleaning practices.
  • Must be able to complete required duties within time allowed.
  • Have the ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
  • Have at least a 9th grade education.
  • Six months to one-year experience housekeeping and/or cleaning.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous floor maintenance experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Maintains floors and carpets within the Community.
  • Vacuum, sweep, mop, buff, shampoo, and wax all floor surfaces in the common areas.
  • Shampoo carpets and furniture in resident apartments and offices.
  • Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
  • Picks up and removes major trash from the Community.
  • Clean and wash entrances, doors, windows, elevators, stair wells, hand rails, and walls.
  • Maintains all equipment and supplies in proper condition.
  • Assist in training new Floor Tech personnel.
  • Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
  • Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
