About The Position

Morningstar Living is hiring a Part-Time Floor Care Technician to support our Moravian Hall Square campus in Nazareth, PA. Benefits include: Competitive Wages Paid Time-Off Company Sponsored 401K Tuition Reimbursement On-Site Fitness Center Perks at Work exclusive discounts to help you save The Floor Care Technician position is responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surface and carpet (stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting) areas that include hallways, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, offices, and other public areas according to floor maintenance schedule.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience in floor care maintenance.
Must be honest, reliable, and able to interact well with residents and other staff members.
Must be flexible, willing to work as needed including some weekend hours.
Work independently and schedule work tasks as appropriate to meet daily needs
Must be physically able to walk, stand, bend, crawl, turn, stretch, kneel, squat and crouch, lift and carry up to 60 lbs., push and pull cart weighting up to 60 lbs., able to stand for long periods of time, push and pull vacuum cleaner, or be otherwise physically active up to an 8-hour period.
Must be able to work in confined spaces and able to tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning supplies.
Must have visual acuity to be able to keep assigned areas up to department standards.

Responsibilities

Must be able to operate and maintain all floor cleaning/finishing equipment to include but not limited to floor buffer/burnishes, water extraction machine, and carpet cleaning equipment.
Provide floor maintenance; including but not limited to, vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting and extracting carpets, stairwells, and upholstery.
Clean assigned dwellings, offices, and common areas, following department policies and procedures: Adheres to federal, state, and local guidelines and laws including but not limited to HIPAA, resident abuse, and Elder Justice Act.
