About The Position

The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining and ensuring that all floors are maintained in a high state of readiness. Must be able to drive from property to property.

Requirements

Must pass a background check.
Must have a valid Driver’s License and good driving record.
Thorough understanding of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
Effectively able to communicate verbally and in writing and be able to read/take and give instructions.
Good interpersonal skills with polite and courteous demeanor towards staff, customers, clients, and visitors to the property.
Detail-oriented and thorough with ability to follow instructions from management.
Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance.

Responsibilities

Physically perform all related duties of floor cleaning in accordance with company policies and/or manufacturer’s recommended maintenance requirements.
Responsible for carpet cleaning, mopping, buffing, stripping, and waxing applicable floor surfaces.
Grout cleaning, burnishing, window cleaning, pressure washing, water extractions etc.
Arrange furniture to allow area to be cleaned.
Perform preventative maintenance and minor repair of equipment, as necessary.
Responsible for keys, alarm combinations and equipment.
Drive company vehicles and equipment to assigned locations.
Ensures that required equipment and cleaning supplies stocked.
Communicate and update management on job status.
Train new technicians on all safety protocols and proper operations of equipment and floor care processes as necessary.
Performs other related duties as needed, including janitorial and/or window cleaning.
Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and out of town.
