About The Position

The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining and restoring floors in assigned locations, utilizing industrial floor care equipment. This role emphasizes customer service, adherence to safety and sanitation standards, and the execution of various floor care procedures based on client needs.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role is preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment and its use is preferred.
• Ability to read and write for effective communication.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand or walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a friendly, efficient, and positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients, and co-workers.
• Anticipates and responds to customer needs.
• Uses proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Performs carpet and upholstery care such as shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Operates industrial floor care equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Processes municipal solid waste (MSW), infectious, and pharmaceutical waste appropriately.
• Removes trash, recyclables, soiled linen, and used supplies from the work area.
• Disinfects receptacles and carts as needed.
• Follows all safety standards, sanitation, and infection control procedures as required by local agencies.
• Adheres to appearance standards and wears required uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE).
