About The Position

The Floor Technician position at West Meade Place involves maintaining the flooring throughout the entire building, including daily, quarterly, and yearly tasks. Requirements

• High school graduate or graduate of a technical school.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals.
• Knowledge of safety regulations.
• Knowledge of supplies and equipment used by the department and the care of this equipment.
• Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with patients.

• Expertise in floor maintenance and cleaning techniques.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the flooring throughout the entire building: daily, quarterly, and yearly.
• Check halls daily for dust mopping and spot mop when busy with other specific jobs.
• Scrub halls 3-4 times a week with an automatic scrubber (VCT flooring or laminate).
• Vacuum carpet every day in certain areas as needed.
• Strip, wax, and buff VCT as needed.
• Coordinate with outside company for yearly carpet cleaning and perform spot cleaning as needed.
• Clean all utilities with a scrubber quarterly and disinfect walls as needed.
• Responsible for all trash collection twice daily (A.M. and P.M.).
• Clean trash cans monthly or as needed in utility rooms.
• Clean all shower rooms with an automatic scrubber on a monthly basis, including walls.
