About The Position

Crothall Healthcare is hiring immediately for a full-time Floor Technician position at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, TX. The role involves floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment. The schedule is full-time, with varying days from 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM, including weekends. While prior floor technician experience is preferred, it is not required. The fixed pay rate is $12.00 per hour. Requirements

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning large areas of floor surface.
• Follow proper procedures on carpet and upholstery care including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the manager.
