Job Description: The Floor Tech is responsible for performing custodial duties, minor maintenance and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure that building and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner. Knowledge or willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques is essential.

• Basic knowledge of general housekeeping methods and practices, cleaning products and use
• Knowledge of hard floor and carpet detail projects

Responsibilities

• Perform Projects as instructed by DFS management, including but not limited to; Carpet Extraction, Encapsulation, and spotting
• Hard floor stripping, waxing, burnishing, polishing and scrubbing
• Facility periodic detailing duties as assigned
• Perform and/or report minor maintenance repairs and any damages
• Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner
• Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition
• Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals
• Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times
• Perform other custodial duties as assigned
