Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in a floor care technician or similar role, required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge of proper floor maintenance procedures for all floor surface types
  • Ensure proper cleaning procedures for floor type are performed
  • Utilize various type of automated equipment for cleaning of floor surfaces
  • Perform ongoing maintenance reviews for equipment to ensure all equipment is functioning properly and report any issues to manager
  • Assist with cleaning of patient rooms, as needed
  • Comply with proper handling and use of EVS chemicals and equipment
  • Ensure EVS supply cart is filled with necessary materials at the beginning and end of shift
  • Learn Teletracking software and use approved electronic devices
  • Collecting and properly disposing of trash and waste material
  • Replenish disposable items such as soap, paper towel, and toilet paper
  • Cleans and disinfects equipment and furniture
  • Cleans up spills
  • Dusts high areas
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment as needed
  • Provides positive interactions with patients, visitors, and staff
