The Floor Tech position at Evergreen Nursing Home is a part-time role focused on maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the facility's floors. This includes a variety of tasks such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and performing daily cleaning duties to ensure that the floors are not only clean but also safe and attractive for residents and visitors. The Floor Tech is expected to adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards while executing their responsibilities. In this role, the Floor Tech will be responsible for making independent decisions when necessary, demonstrating knowledge of the practices and procedures relevant to a post-acute care facility. This includes understanding and implementing the department's programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures. The Floor Tech must also maintain professional relationships with all associates and vendors, ensuring confidentiality of proprietary information and compliance with company policies, including those related to harassment and conduct. The position requires a commitment to integrity and professionalism, as outlined in Life Care's Code of Conduct, and the completion of mandatory training. The Floor Tech will be expected to exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients, assist in patient evacuations when necessary, and demonstrate dependable attendance. The role also involves physical demands such as sitting, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, walking, reaching, and moving intermittently throughout the working hours. Effective communication and teamwork within an interdisciplinary team are essential for success in this position.
