About The Position

The FTS is responsible to assist with the hands-on day-to-day maintenance and operationsof the physical facilities of the RJKCCC with specific responsibilities relating to floors. The FTS will assist the Facilities Supervisor (FS) and Facilities Manager (FM) with the overall maintenance, and upkeep of the RJKCCC floors. He/she will work/function in accordance with Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Kroc Administrator/or Director, to assure that our facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent, Associate or BS in facilities related field preferred.
  • One year of experience in maintenance field/trade.
  • Working knowledge of facilities equipment (inc. but not limited to boilers, compressors, generators, electrical and plumbing systems, building codes, hand tools and power tools.
  • Possess knowledge of repair, maintenance, and construction techniques and of the tools, methods, practices, materials and equipment used in the construction and mechanical trades
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Must have ability to work and relate well with people.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds
  • Proficiency in oral and written communication skills.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License with two or less violations (moving or accident) over the past two years.
  • Must possess the ability to pass The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Driver’s Test.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to recognize and manage preventive maintenance programs across all aspects of facilities, as necessary.
  • Must meet all Child Protection Clearances requirements to include 1). PA Act 153 Child Abuse History Clearance, 2). PA State Police Criminal Record Check 3). FBI Criminal Record Check and completion of PA Act 153 of 2014 Mandated Reporter training on recognizing and reporting child abuse prior to employment with recurrent training and clearance renewal required every five years thereafter.
  • Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
