About The Position

The Floor Technician (Custodian) position involves performing various floor maintenance duties including carpet cleaning (both bonnet and extraction methods), scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing hard surface floors. The role requires the operation of high and low-speed buffers, as well as propane burnishing equipment. Adherence to established safety precautions is essential while cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
• Excellent work history.
• Team-focused approach requiring ability to work with others and take direction.
• Ability to work efficiently in a physically demanding fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Previous floor tech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpet cleaning using bonnet and extraction methods.
• Scrub, strip, seal, wax, and spray buff hard surface floors.
• Operate high and low-speed buffers up to 24 inches and 3000 RPM propane burnishing equipment.
• Maintain and operate all floor cleaning and finishing equipment, including floor buffers, water extraction machines, and carpet cleaning equipment.
• Follow established safety precautions for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility.
