The Floor Supervisor at Westlake Ace Hardware plays a crucial role in managing the overall store operations and ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about customer service and have a strong background in retail management. The Floor Supervisor will assume primary responsibility for store operations in the absence of the General Manager and/or Assistant Managers, making it essential to have a comprehensive understanding of store policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will project a positive representation of Westlake Ace Hardware, proactively assist customers in solving problems, and maintain a friendly and outgoing demeanor while interacting with both customers and associates. In addition to customer service, the Floor Supervisor will oversee the general operations of the store, ensuring a professional and safe work environment for all associates. Responsibilities include supervising store opening and closing procedures, implementing Store Support Center programs, and ensuring compliance with Loss Prevention, Safety, and Internal Audits. The Floor Supervisor will also assist in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the sales floor, stock room, and outdoor merchandise areas, while ensuring that all price changes and label updates are completed accurately and timely. The role also involves inventory management and merchandising, where the Floor Supervisor will assist in receiving, checking in, and stocking merchandise, as well as maintaining back stock levels. Leadership is a key component of this position, as the Floor Supervisor will manage all aspects of store operations in the absence of higher management, lead by example, and assist in training new associates. The Floor Supervisor will communicate effectively with the General Manager and other management staff to ensure the store meets its goals and objectives, while embodying the core values of Service, Passion, Respect, Integrity, Teamwork, and Excellence.
