The Floor Supervisor of the Drop-In Day Program at Sister José Women's Center is responsible for overseeing the delivery of essential services to unhoused women and non-binary individuals in a safe and welcoming environment. This role emphasizes a commitment to trauma-informed care and aims to foster a culture of compassion and respect among guests, staff, and volunteers. The supervisor will manage direct service staff, ensure high-quality service delivery, and maintain a supportive atmosphere for all participants.

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment using best practices, such as trauma-informed care and de-escalation techniques.
  • Provide an active presence during all program hours to ensure high-quality service delivery and client-centered care.
  • Model excellent customer service and provide real-time feedback, training, and support to staff.
  • Promote a culture of care and service that is welcoming and professional.
  • Collect program data and provide daily reports.
  • Complete timely incident reports related to the day program.
  • Communicate significant risks to the appropriate manager.
  • Assist in the coordination of pet safety and security.
  • May drive company vehicle in performance of company business.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in serving the unhoused population.
  • Minimum of three years supervisory experience in a shelter, group home, public health, or social services setting.
  • Experience mentoring and training staff.
  • Must be able to pass a background check to work with vulnerable adults.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • American Sign Language (ASL) proficiency
  • Valid Driver's license and clean driving record.
